Since the upgrade to 19.1, uploads to the IRIS default folder structure have been enabled. However the feature is not usable for any existing usage of OpenSpace. We already have folders setup called 'Taxation', 'Accounts', 'VAT' but the new feature creates the default structure folders in addition to the existing folders. Each client would then have 2 VAT folders along with a confusing amount of folders, many of which are not applicable. Please either allow 'linking' uploads to existing folders within OpenSpace rather than the IRIS defaults. Or allow editing of the IRIS default folders to exclude unnecessary folders such as Trust tax/Company formations, of which very few clients would require. Couldn't Personal/Corporation/Partnership/Sole Trader/Trust Tax folders just be a single folder called Tax?
Hi John, if there are no files within these new folders then the client will not see them. So this means the client will only see folders which are relevant to them, only the accountant can see them all.
