It would be useful to seperate out the email and telephone from the postal address to make the share address button more useful
We would like to be able to share one part of the address between client codes but not necessarily the postal address, telephone number and email address
We've completed the investigation into the work needed to be done to achieve this. At the moment we are looking at including this in the October 2020 release.
We'll include more updates when they become available. let me know if you have any questions.
Hello, just an update for Accountant Go customers affected by this. We have listened to the feedback and have added new functionality. You can now manually add mobile numbers and email addresses for unique contacts, into Accountant Go. if you have multiple contacts pulling through for a client, however one contact’s mobile number is not pulling through to the system, go to Settings > Manual Contact Details, to quickly and easily add in the missing number.
This feature can also be used for contacts who have downloaded the app, however are not currently linking to a company (due to their mobile number not being held in the IRIS database, therefore not exported over to Accountant Go).
If IRIS can't be bothered to sort this out I won't be renewing the expensive and faulty AccountantGo - if directors live at the same address why should IRIS ignore one of them?
Chris - Thanks for your comments. We do have this high up our priority list, unfortunately at the moment we have not had a good opportunity to include it in a release, due to other priorities and legislation. It is not a small task, so requires some consideration as it affects lots of areas. We are taking on board your comments when planning the future releases and hope to be able to include this as soon as is possible.
Iris - any feedback whether you acknowledge this and plan to implement? One of the most voted for features on here and it has a big practical impact on our day to day use of the software. Increasingly we have to unlink addresses because a separate email is needed. Increasingly this means changes of address are overlooked on a spouse as people assume that addresses are linked as they have been historically.
Making email addresses specific to the client, and not shared with the postal address, is essential and I have been feeding this request back and asking Iris for this for years.
The current way email addresses are shared is a risk to our business. Either we don't share address and then there is a risk that if someone notifies us of change of address we don't remember to change the address of the linked person. Or we do share the address and risk that someone looks up the email address and ends up sending an email to the address that belongs to the other shared person.
This is essential as we've noticed that uploading e-checklists to OpenSpace causes new user accounts to be created if the main email address in a shared address is different to the one in OpenSpace. We’ve had to un-share all our addresses as a result.
Hi All,
The update to the shared address changes are now live with the v21.4 of IRIS Accountancy Suite.
Any update on this?
What is the status of this being implemented please?

Agreed, the email address and phone numbers being linked to the address make sharing of addresses an unusablefunction
Is there any further update on this being implemented?

Also see the comments at https://ias.ideas.aha.io/ideas/IASPS-I-94 which covers partly the same issue.
This is critical to use GoAccountant correctly (can we also upload missing mobile numbers and email addresses?)
