Share certificate numbers to correlate with the shares as they are issued.

When issuing shares, if there is a mistake made and the share issue gets deleted, the certificate number increases and does not revert to the number before the deleted share was entered.

    Hi Micheal

We don't automatically release the certificate numbers when an event is deleted (mostly to stop possible duplication of certificate numbers) but there are ways around this in IRIS. In the Share Register you can select Status and on this screen you have the option of saying what the highest share certificate number is.

Alternatively once you have created the new share event from the Share Types tab you can select View | Show Numbers, highlight a share holding and select Adjust and on this screen you can manually change the certificate number.

    Best wishes

    Nick
