Record civil partnerships in IRIS Practice Management

Currently, there is nowhere to record if a client is in a civil partnership. Please add this as civil partnerships attract certain tax reliefs on the same basis as marriages. The current workaround is to record a client in a civil partnership as being married, but this is not ideal. Civil partnerships have been around since 2005, so it is surprising that the software still doesn't cater for them.

Also, there is nowhere to record that a client is non-binary. Male and female are currently the only two options.

Agree this is needed. Suggest the term Civil Partnership is added as an option otherwise the people show as married on reports. A lot of those in Civil Partnerships object to the term Marriage and would wish it to be called what it actually is, a Civil Partnership, it is not a marriage.

The April release (23.1) saw the addition of 'Other' as an alternative to Male or Female.

Civial partnerships are possible within the system and should be setup similar to marriages.
