Easily create a year end period from interim periods
In accounts production, it would be really helpful if there was an easy way to create a year end posting file, with the values, from the 4 quarterly interim periods already posted.
Rather than creating 4 separate posting entries against interim dates, I recommend 1 posting entry and use the management accounts facility, by posting quarterly trial balances or just movements in each quarter you can then simply use those figures to produce the annual accounts.

Interim periods are useful if creating one off periods for example if applying for a loan from a bank.
