I agree with John Garfitt. It makes no sense not to be able to amend accounts headings. Suggesting an upgrade is not a solution to a problem that should be fixed in the product that I have a subscription for. Could you at least update the fixed headings - Telephone and fax - honestly - who uses a fax any more? Shouldn't it be Telephone and broadband? I am always embarrassed sending out accounts with a reference to Fax and make sure that my clients know that the problem lies with Iris Elements and I'm not the one stuck in the dark ages.

Not being able to amend \ edit or change account headings is silly. There are lots of account headings not included which it would be useful to be able to change. Not to be able to do so is silly.
To say that we need to migrate to more expensive products is a poor cop out. it makes Iris elements a poor relation to other products and is not the attitude I expected from Iris.
It is not available within any of the Tax and Accounts subscriptions. Instead you would need to upgrade to Accounts Production Professional, you can remain on Tax and Accounts for Tax purposes.
Please migrate to Elements Tax & Accounts if you haven't already, then take a look at Accounts Production Professional which includes a full chart of accounts with editable headings.
We do need a facility to be able to tailor the descriptions on the TB to the clients' needs. Another way that may be considered for this could be to have some blanks for us to use for more appropriate descriptions.
I too have moved from Iris accounts production to taxfiler as the number of clients have reduced. Due to the diverse range of clients it would be very useful if the headings in the profit and loss could be edited to make the accounts more meaningful to my clients.
One Suze definitely does not fit all and I do not like keep having to apologise to my clients for having to lump so may expenses in sundries as they do not fit anywhere else!

I am happy with the software but not being able to tailor the P&L account headings to something more meaningful to my clients is a major bugbear. They are diverse businesses and have diverse categories of expenditure. One size does not fit all. One Taxfiler account heading is Telephone and fax!??? - really? Please allow us to choose our headings
Unfortunately, there is no way to add additional headers, lines to the balance sheet or profit and loss account. All the entries will have to be recorded under the one header available on the T.B - It would be great to add additional lines!

We pay enough for Iris elements as it is.

Income and expenditure for flat management among owners is not profit or loss so heading should be able to change.
