Allow accounting firms to send files to each other

We have experienced a couple of instances where we have a client moving to us from another accountant and when we try to setup the other accountant as an email address on the client it cannot because the previous accountant also has Openspace. It would seem that if 2 independent accountants both use Openspace there is no way for them to send files to each other.

We recommend a feature where you can add associate accountants and then be able to transfer files

As discussed with Richard, will discuss with the team and see what our options are.

Hi Richard, may be best to discuss in more detail. Maybe this could be achieved outside of OpenSpace, I’ll explain when we catchup. I’ll email to arrange.

From a GDPR point of view you encourage us to use OpenSpace but as Oli says we can not share files between accountants.  Suggesting SFTP or Dropbox is a bit of a cop out...

Really support ability to share files with other Accountants and contacts who may be associated with multiple Accountants.

Thank you Mike, I understand your angle. Thank you for getting back to us.

Thanks Oli, i believe i spoke to Chris about this. OpenSpace has been designed as an Accountant-Client exchange. So changing this to cater for Accountant-Accountant will be tricky, i would suggest using a different method like SFTP or an document storage system like Dropbox.
